Meteora "Rare geological & impressive phenomenon"

A rare geological phenomenon, a quirk of nature as it were, created these looming rocks which thrust skywards from the plain of Thessaly, as if striving to come closer to God.
These peculiarly impressive natural sculptures are known as Meteora because they do indeed seem to hang or hover (meteoro in Greek) above the plain.

  Exceptional Service
My husband and I hired Chris on very short notice for a half-day tour of Athens. He picked us up at our hotel in a very clean and comfortable Mercedes and drove us directly to the Acropolis, where he dropped us off to tour at our own pace. But first, he gave us an overview of what we would see. And with the English written guides, it was all we needed. He patiently waited for us until we finished and then drove us to the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. We were tired and didn’t feel up to a museum visit, so instead, he drove us around the former Royal Gardens and key government buildings. But the icing on the cake was a stop in a special location to watch the Changing of the Guards in front of the presidential residence. He explained it all to us — every detail, including the significance of every item of the uniform. We definitely felt we had gotten our money’s worth. Then afterwards, when in Paris, I realized I left my iPad at security at the Athens airport, Chris offered to help me get it back. Although I was able to make other arrangements, it was very comforting to me to know he would be there for me if I needed him.   Private family tour of Greece
My family and I have just returned to the states following a truly memorable 2 weeks in Greece. As part of our experience we utilized this company and Chris and Tasos did not disappoint. First we took a 4 day , 3 night excursion with Chris to multiple sites in mainland Greece. He provided great insights into the history and culture of the area and prepared us well for what we were subsequently to experience at each of the sites.  At each stop, he prearranged marvelous hotel accommodations for us and steered us to some great traditional Greek restaurants. Prior to this trip, I really did not think that I liked Greek cuisine. Turn out I just had never been to the right places!. Later , we took 2 day trips with Tasos to areas in and around Athens. He was likewise an incredibly gracious host with great knowledge of the sites that we were to see. On each of these tours, tours were able to be adjusted based on our schedules ( delayed flights, personal preferences, etc ) such that our experience was customized to our exact needs. This truly made our vacation a memorable one.  These tours are a little more expensive than those offered by the larger companies but the value is so much more.   The Best Tour of Greece!
My son and I just returned from a 5 day tour through the Peloponnese and mainland Greece with Chris from Private Hellas Tours. It was truly one of the best trips I have ever taken, filled with beauty, history, food, and culture.   The arrangements prior to the trip with Katerina were extremely easy, accommodating, and enthusiastic. She was very quick to respond to my questions and help create the itinerary.   What can I say about Chris? An amazing driver, raconteur, and educator. He has been a professional driver for over 25 years and we always felt safe. His Mercedes E class was super-comfortable and spacious.  Most importantly, his love and knowledge of Greece came through in between stops. He gave us 90% of what tour guides charge for before we even set foot on a site. His company hand-picked our hotels and they were above expectations.  He always was thoughtful of our needs and would start and stop whenever we wanted, a huge advantage of a private tour. His gregarious nature and love of life was always welcome and never intrusive.
